How do I add a reserve amount to a credit card via Opayo?

How do I add a reserve amount to a credit card via Opayo?

Use Paytia reserve and charge to add a shadow payment reserve to a customer's card and debit money from that transaction as well.

Using the Opayo deferred option; which is setup on Paytia as reserve. Paytia will instruct Opayo to register a shadow (not collected at this point in time) amount of money against the payment card.

Opayo has rules for using a shadow "reserve" charge

1. You can only release once per transaction, and only for an amount up to the deferred transaction amount.

2. Deferred transactions remain available for a single release for up to 30 days. After that time they are automatically aborted by the Opayo system.

Note: Ideally you should release all deferred transactions within 6 days. After 6 days, the transaction shadow may disappear from the cardholder’s account and the customer can spend the previously protected funds.
