What is a Virtual Terminal?
Not all virtual terminals are compliant with PCI-DSS and GDPR regulations, unless you take strict precautions.
A virtual terminal requires customers to read their card details to a stranger. That stranger will then enter the card details into a web form on their computer.
In order to comply with PCI-DSS with this method the staff member taking the payment must have no access to electronic devices and no access to any writing materials.
