One secure gateway for WooCommerce

WooCommerce logoon Paytia SecureFlow

The Paytia Payment Gateway is a native WooCommerce payment method that connects your store to Paytia's PCI DSS Level 1 platform. Take payments by web checkout, payment link or secure telephone capture — one plugin, one merchant account, three channels. Card data is captured on Paytia, over the phone keypad, on a hosted link page or in the checkout iframe, and never reaches your WordPress database.

  • One gateway, one account, three channels
  • Card data never enters WordPress
  • Process phone payments from the order screen
  • Orders move to Processing automatically via webhook
  • HPOS and Cart/Checkout block compatible
  • Test mode, API logs and a webhook simulator built in

How Paytia works with WooCommerce

Configuration spans the Paytia merchant portal and WooCommerce admin — collect your portal values first, then map fields and enable the channels you need. Built-in test tools confirm everything before you take a live payment, and most stores can go live in an afternoon.

  1. 1

    Install and activate

Upload the plugin zip in Plugins → Add New. Paytia then appears under Settings → Payments and adds its own Paytia Settings menu.

  2. 2

    Connect the account

Paste your X-API-KEY, set the live and test API URLs, then copy the plugin's Webhook URL into the Paytia portal.

  3. 3

    Map your fields

Match WooCommerce order fields to Paytia's required fields, set per-user agent IDs for phone payments, and map your shipping methods.

  4. 4

    Enable channels and test

Turn on web checkout, set your checkout template, then run Test connection and the webhook simulator before going live.

Why teams choose WooCommerce with Paytia

Web checkout

Paytia installs as a native WooCommerce payment method. Customers choose it at your standard checkout and pay by redirect or an embedded iframe, using your Paytia checkout template, for full basket totals, taxes and shipping.

Payment links

Send a Pay Now link by email, with an optional scan-to-pay QR code. Customers pay in their own time on Paytia-hosted pages — no agent required. Ideal for follow-ups and remote orders.

Telephone capture

Agents take card details securely over the phone. The customer types their card numbers on their own keypad — masked from the agent, never spoken aloud — and the agent stays on the order screen throughout.

One API, one account

Every channel is a single transaction flag on the same Paytia Payment Services API and settles to the same merchant account. Turn on the ones you need.

Built for modern WooCommerce

HPOS and Cart/Checkout block compatible, with per-user agent IDs, order-field and shipping-method mapping. Requires WordPress 6.7+, WooCommerce 8.0+, PHP 8.0+ and an HTTPS site.

Test before you go live

Test mode, API logs and a webhook simulator are built in, so you can prove the whole flow before a real customer pays.

WooCommerce + Paytia — common questions

What payment channels does the plugin support?+

Three: web checkout (redirect or embedded iframe at your standard WooCommerce checkout), payment links sent by email with an optional QR code, and agent-assisted secure telephone capture. Each is a transaction flag on the same Paytia Payment Services API, so you can enable just the ones you need.

Does card data ever touch my WordPress site?+

No. Card details are entered directly into Paytia — over the phone keypad, on a hosted link page, or in the checkout iframe — so the sensitive data never reaches your WordPress database. That keeps fraud exposure and PCI scope to a minimum.

How do phone payments work from the order screen?+

Your team works inside the WooCommerce order screen. When a payment is needed they trigger telephone capture, the customer types their card numbers on their own keypad, and the digits are masked from the agent. The caller presses a key to return to the agent when they're done.

How do orders get updated when a payment completes?+

Automatically, over secure webhooks. When Paytia confirms the payment, the WooCommerce order moves to Processing — no manual status changes.

What does my store need to run it?+

WordPress 6.7+, WooCommerce 8.0+, PHP 8.0+, an HTTPS site and a Paytia merchant account. The plugin is HPOS-ready and compatible with the Cart and Checkout blocks.

How long does setup take?+

Most stores can go live in an afternoon. Install the plugin, paste your X-API-KEY and webhook URL, map your order fields and shipping methods, then use the built-in Test connection and webhook simulator to confirm everything before taking a live payment.
