📦 How to Manage Shipping Options for Checkout in Paytia

Shipping options allow merchants using Paytia’s checkout system to define delivery methods, costs, and timings that appear to customers at the point of purchase. You can configure multiple shipping tiers, set pricing, enable free shipping, and edit or delete options as needed.

✅ Prerequisites

Before you begin:

  • Ensure your Paytia administrator account has the Checkout Management feature enabled.

  • Confirm that your merchant account has an active payment gateway that supports checkout transactions.


🧭 Step-by-Step: Creating a New Shipping Option

  1. Login to the Paytia platform as an Administrator.

  2. From the left-hand menu, click on Checkout Management and select Manage Shipping Options.

  3. You will land on the Manage Shipping Object page, showing all current shipping options in a table format.

➕ Add a New Shipping Option

  1. Click the "Add" button located in the top-right corner of the page.

  2. A form will appear with the following input fields:

    • Title
      This is the name that will be displayed to customers at checkout.
      Example: "DHL Pre 12:00 – Next Business Day"

    • Unique Identification
      A system-level unique identifier for your internal reference.
      Example: "DHLNBD12"

    • Price
      Enter the shipping cost (in GBP).
      Example: "15.00"

    • Estimated Shipping Time
      Describe the expected delivery timeframe.
      Example: "Next day pre-noon delivery"

    • Description
      This additional text will be shown to customers to clarify the service.
      Example: "DHL next business day, pre-noon delivery service."

    • Free Shipping (Optional)
      Tick this box if this shipping option should appear as free at checkout.

  3. Once all fields are completed, click the “Save” button in the bottom-right corner.



✏️ Editing or Deleting Shipping Options

Each existing shipping option is listed in a table with:

  • An Edit (✏️) icon to update details.

  • A Delete (🗑️) icon to remove the shipping option entirely.

⚠️ Note: Editing a shipping option will update it in real-time for all future checkout sessions. Deleting it will immediately remove it from your checkout flow.
