How Paytia works with Braintree

Paytia is gateway-agnostic: you connect the Braintree account you already have, and we route secure captures through it. Card data is captured on our PCI DSS Level 1 infrastructure and never enters your environment. Here's the flow on a call.

    Connect your Braintree account

    Link your existing Braintree gateway to Paytia. Your online and in-app payment flows don't change — we only handle the channels where a human is involved.

    Start a secure payment session

    Your agent opens the Paytia virtual terminal in a browser, or sends a branded payment link by SMS or email if the customer prefers to pay after the call.

    The customer keys their card

    On a call, the customer enters their card on their own phone keypad. DTMF masking flattens the tones in real time, so the agent and the recording capture nothing.

    Braintree settles the payment

    The tokenised payment routes through your Braintree account and appears in your Braintree reporting alongside your online transactions.
