Paytia US Number porting
Every field on the US porting form, explained. Getting these right first time is the difference between a port that takes days and one that drags on for weeks.
Number Porting (LNP) – Field Explanations
Paytia has to carry out the movement of your numbers from your current calls and lines provider to their own service provider. This will allow your calls to be routed directly into Paytia reducing the cost of call forwarding and allowing card data to be removed prior to it reaching your telephony services.
This document explains each field required by Paytia when porting (moving) US telephone numbers from an existing service provider. All information must exactly match the records held by the current (losing) carrier to avoid port rejections.
Required Porting Fields Explained
Important Porting Notes
Exact data matching is critical
Any mismatch between the submitted information and the losing carrier’s records can result in a port rejection.
BTN is often the primary validation field
Many US carriers use the Billing Telephone Number as the main account identifier during validation.
Service address matters
The service address on file is typically used for validation, not the billing or mailing address.
Authorisation is mandatory
Ports cannot proceed without clear authorisation from the account holder or authorised contact.
Summary
Providing accurate, carrier-matching information for all required fields significantly reduces delays and rejections during the Inteliquent number porting process.

Using an Existing Phone Number with Agent Capture Assist
You can port your existing number to us so customers carry on dialling what they already know. This covers porting and the alternatives to it.
What is a Paytia secure encrypted telephone number?
Your Paytia number is a dedicated line for payments. Card details entered on it never reach your phone system, your agents or your call recordings.
When I call Paytia it puts the call back through to our main business telephone number?
That's the platform doing what it should. Here's how inbound and outbound calling work, and why the call comes back to your main number.
Can I use Agent Capture Assist with my mobile?
Yes. We deliver payment calls to mobiles just as readily as landlines — give us the mobile number during setup and verify it.
Do I Need to Replace My Existing Telephone Number?
No. Keep the number your customers already dial and forward those calls to your Paytia number. Nothing you've published has to change.
How can I set the telephone number that appears on my customer's phone when you call them?
When you call a customer they can see either your secure payment number or the number you're calling from. It defaults to the secure payment number — here's how to change it.
