What is a Paytia Secure Encrypted Telephone Number?
When you sign up for a Paytia plan, you are provided with a secure encrypted telephone number designed to facilitate secure payment processing. This number serves as a dedicated and protected channel for transactions, ensuring the highest level of security and compliance.
How It Works
Receiving or Initiating Calls:
- The merchant either receives a call from the customer or places a call to the customer using the Paytia secure encrypted telephone number.
Starting the Payment Process:
- During the call, the merchant can dial 7-2-9 on their telephone keypad to initiate the secure payment process.
Processing the Payment:
- Both the merchant and customer use their respective telephone keypads to enter payment details securely. This ensures sensitive card information is never verbally exchanged, enhancing compliance and reducing risk.
Using Your Business's Existing Telephone Number
If you'd prefer to use your business's existing telephone number for the secure payment process, this can be accommodated. Contact porting@paytia.com to discuss options for porting your current number into the Paytia system.
