How to Configure Caller ID for Customer Calls via Paytia
Recognise Customer Calls Easily
When a customer calls your business via Paytia — whether they have dialed your secure payment number or have been routed through Paytia from your existing telephone system — you can configure how the call appears on your phone. The options are:
- Display the Paytia secure payment number.
- Display the customer's phone number.
By default, Paytia will display your secure payment number for such calls. However, you can easily change this setting by following these steps:
Steps to Configure Caller ID

Log in to the Paytia Merchant Portal:
- Navigate to Paytia's portal.
- Log in using your administrator credentials.

Access the Telephony Configuration:
- On the left-hand menu, select Configure Telephony.
- Click on Default Call Presentation.

Select Caller ID Preference:
- Locate the section labeled "Call presentation — what you see on your phone when a customer calls you."
- Use the dropdown menu to choose your preferred Caller ID option:
- My Paytia Number: Displays your secure payment number.
- Caller's Telephone Number: Displays the phone number of the customer calling.

Save Changes:
- After selecting your preferred Caller ID option, scroll down and click the Save Settings button.
