How do I access and use the test platform?

Test mode runs the whole payment flow without money moving. Here's how to switch it on — and, just as important, how to switch it off before you go live.

How to Use the Test Platform in Paytia

The Paytia platform allows administrators to simulate payment processes using a test gateway. This guide will walk you through enabling test mode, managing accounts, and performing specific actions within the platform.

1. Login and Access Payment Gateway Setup

  1. Sign in to your admin account on the Paytia platform.
  2. Navigate to the Manage payments category on the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on the Payment gateway setup sub-category. Here, you can:
    • Add new accounts.
    • Rename accounts (e.g., "Main business account").
    • Connect to additional payment service providers.

D. Set Primary Gateway

  • The Primary Gateway button designates a default payment gateway for processing transactions.
  • This default setting is applied when no specific merchant code is provided in the API post.

5. Managing Live and Test Mode Transactions

  • Reports Separation: Paytia automatically separates reports for test and live transactions, ensuring clarity between simulated and actual payments.
  • Toggle between modes to view relevant transaction reports for live or test environments.

By following these steps, you can efficiently test and manage payment processes within the Paytia platform while ensuring accurate configuration for live operations. For further assistance, refer to the Help section or contact Paytia support.
