How do I take a payment using Paytia?

Does Secure Virtual Terminal accept all credit cards?
Secure Virtual Terminal allows you to process all card types authorised by the payment provider associated with your secure payment account.

Do I have to keep paying PCI non-compliant charges that are added to my bill?
You no longer access, store, transmit, receive, cardholder data when taking telephone payments. Therefore, a non-compliance charge for MOTO (Mail Order Telephone Order) payments does not apply and will not be enforced. This can be verified with your payment service provider.

What is the difference between DTMF masking and Channel Separation?
Not all DTMF masking solutions are fool-proof or secure. In fact, some forms of DTMF masking can include risks to your compliance strategy. Using a DTMF masking solution runs the risk of 'DTMF bleed' which means tones can still make their way into your business systems. If the DTMF tone detection system fails there can be a delay in tones being masked meaning customer card data will enter your business environment, and you must prove how that data was used and stored. DTMF masking also will not work if your customer is reading their card numbers as they type.
Channel separation is Paytia's preferred solution to DTMF masking. When ready to take the payement an agent will enable secure payment mode and the payment will be taken over an IVR like process. If either the agent or customer need to speak to each other they can press * to be instantly reconnected. This way, no card data can ever reach your business systems under any circumstances. Ideal for your PCI DSS and GDPR compliance strategy.
